• Wear extremely comfortable walking shoes! Rome is best explored on foot, and you'll be doing a lot of walking on uneven cobblestones.
• Learn a few basic Italian phrases like 'Buongiorno' (Good morning), 'Grazie' (Thank you), and 'Per favore' (Please). Romans appreciate the effort!
• Be aware of your surroundings and pickpockets, especially in crowded tourist areas. Keep your valuables secure.
